Switching to Dhanlaxmi

1. In your current app, export your data (Excel or the vendor’s export file). Do this first; keep the original.
2. Install Dhanlaxmi and create your business.
3. Open More, then Import, choose the source (Vyapar, myBillBook, Tally or Excel) and pick your file.
4. Review the preview. Anything that cannot be read is listed with the reason; nothing is silently skipped.
5. Confirm. Your original file is stored untouched. If the result is wrong, roll the import back.

Usually comes across

Customers and suppliers, items with rates and GST, opening balances, and past invoices where the file contains them.

Gaps to expect

• Invoice designs, themes and custom print settings are not copied.
• Features we do not have yet (loyalty points, online store, recurring schedules) are not imported.
• Formats change between vendor versions. If a file does not read, write to [email protected] and we will look at it.
